The Grand River and Lake Erie continue to be stellar fisheries. Smallmouth Bass, Pickerel and Sheepshead are plentiful this time of year. Smallmouth Bass are plentiful in closer to shore. They should start to put the fall feed bag on. You can even catch smallies in kayaks this time of year, weather permitting.
