With the ice almost gone, the transition from ice fishing to spring fishing has begun. Some anglers have already been trolling out by the South shoreline of Lake Ontario for spring brown trout. The warm temperatures this week should start to get the spring cats moving around as well. Hopefully the weather stays, and anglers can get out and take advantage of the weather.
Spring Crappie have started in local creeks and lakes. The Grand River and Lake Erie offer some great crappie fishing.
The lower Grand by Dunnville is due for some great Catfishing in the near future. When the water warms up, you can be sure these big bruisers will be biting like crazy.
Trout opener is on the 4th Saturday of April. Good luck everyone.
